Would it be more useful to have sub-concepts or to be able to categorise / group concepts?

Willem: Thank you for opening this post. I am not sure about the practical difference between sub-concepts and categorising/grouping concepts.
I think that grouping/categorising concepts would work for me as long as it's possible to add details from documents about the main concept or category/group name, which I would name after the main concept.

We are planning to introduce highlighting colours so that each concept has a colour. In this way a group of concepts could for example have the highlight colour green, another yellow, etc. It would be great to hear if this would be a simple first step of addressing sub-concepts?

This would be a huge positive a way of truly organizing the literature review without it becoming unruly and unmanageable
